MRSSA Round 1 and SA Classic TT Round 2

The 2024 race season for Motorcycle Racing Series South Africa is kicking off at one of the riders' favourite tracks, and this season is expanding to include the Classic Superbike Racing Association (CSRA). 

The classes battling it out for the 2024 championships will be Open Superbike Novice/Premier, BOTTS & V4, Masters, Super 1000SBK, Unlimited Superbike, Super 600SBK, Sub500, Classic F1, New Era, F2, F3 and Classic F4 Parade. This event will also host an Open Track Day for superbike enthusiasts to take their road superbikes out on this incredible track.

Every year CSRA host the SA Classic TT, and it's back in 2024, with a history spanning over 100 years. As the only International motorcycle race event in SA no doubt one of the feature races of the day will be Round 2 of the SA Classic TT.

Classic Bike racing across the globe is enjoying a massive resurgence in both competitor numbers and crowd following. With the IOM Classic TT being the pinnacle of the sport worldwide we are delighted to have TT Legends John McGuiness, James Hillier, Steve Parrish, James Ellison, Ian Simpson and several more either racing or parading at Kyalami.

With 9 overseas bikes on their way over from Europe, the internationals will be taking on our local racers on period classic Bikes, including the IOM TT winning bikes of team Classic Suzuki plus international XR69s, Katanas and Gixxers.

1980,s and 90s superbike racing in SA was when racing enjoyed its greatest era, huge fields of competitors and close racing, today the likes of AJ Venter, Paul Jacobs, Sheridan Morais and Jaco Gous are still mighty quick on their Classic Bikes, the internationals won’t have it all their own way!
